Art Of Development is an art consulting agency dedicated to serving real estate companies by creating unique collaborations between artists and properties, both commercial and residential.

Badgast art residency in shipping containers (The Hague)

Satellietgroep programs Badgast, a research based artist in residence program, outdoor Cinema with screenings and Talks at the coast and develops international cultural exchange projects, all concerning the sea. Badgast is built in 2009 of two stacked shipping containers by recycle architects Refunc for Satellietgroep. Badgast is located in the middle of the surfing village FAST, the Urban Beach Community at the hinge point of the promenade and harbour in The Hague at Scheveningen.

BUILDING WRAP

As part of the launch campaign for A’DAM Tower (the former Headquarters of Royal Dutch Shell), two gigantic banners adorn its façade. Each measures 52 x 25 meters, and are the biggest in the Netherlands. The unashamedly bold design features an eclectic array of song titles and is based on the architectural grid of the tower. The vivid colors and arresting typography convey the energy behind the exciting redevelopment plans. The positive messaging references many iconic dance tracks such as ‘Go’, ‘I Feel Love’, ‘Hey Boy, Hey Girl’, ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’, amongst others. Importantly, the music theme reflects the heritage and core-business of the developers/anchor tenants: ID&T, AIR, and MassiveMusic.

POP-UPS

HALLE 14 is an industrial building that was erected in 1891. Until 1992, it was one of four large production halls in the Leipzig Cotton Spinning Mill. Since the beginning of the 1990s, artists, gallerists, and others involved in creative work has built a productive and lively community at this location, providing an inspiring environment for HALLE 14.

This Unitech billboard made totally from dummy matchboxes takes advertising to new heights. Promoting a gated community at Karma Lakelands in India, hundreds of the boxes were glued together for this unique campaign.

The entire campaign for Powerhouse gym revolves around a construction site, giving it a sense of interaction with everyday elements to the public eye. This scene show a body builder doing ‘Cable Flys’ on a double-craned construction site, what gives an impression that he is lifting the heavy weight from there.

Empty Building?

A walk-through art installation in Commerce, California afforded visitors an opportunity to evaluate and deposit their secret wishes.
Dandelions, which was organized by the artist group Art Department, took place in a former Power Plan before the developer started revitalizing this property in May 2019.
